How To Festival

Community Expertise on Display at Volusia County Public Library’s How-To Festival

Volusia County Public Library’s How-To Festival is an annual celebration of community-driven learning and sharing, hosted across the county’s six regional libraries. Local experts, hobbyists, and professionals present a diverse range of interactive sessions designed to help residents discover new skills, explore creative interests, and gain practical knowledge. From propagating plant cuttings to training a therapy dog, from tackling DIY home repairs to learning the basics Line-Dancing, and from couponing to cooking on a shoestring, the festival offers something for everyone. In 2025, the library system hosted the festival on Saturday, September 13, welcoming 10,317 positive interactions with visitors and issuing 150 new library cards.
