Volusia County Public Library Invites All Ages to “Celebrate Summer!” with Reading, Programs, and Prizes

Volusia County, FL – Starting Monday, June 2, Volusia County Public Library is excited to launch its all-ages “Celebrate Summer!” reading initiative at all 14 library branches. The Summer Reading Challenge runs through August 10 and encourages children, teens, and adults to keep reading and stay engaged throughout the summer.

Children (Pre-K–5th grade) and teens (grades 6–12) can earn fun incentives and prizes by reading and participating in library programs. Prize redemption continues through Sunday, August 31.

Adults can also join in the summer fun with hundreds of programs available through Sunday, August 10.

In partnership with Volusia County Human Services, the library will also offer free nutritious breakfasts and lunches to youth ages 18 and under through the Summer BreakSpot program. Meals will be served Monday through Friday at many locations from June 2 through August 8. Visit volusialibrary.libcal.com for participating branches and mealtimes.
